Our friends just released their first album, they have also previously played live at the IME hq. Besides the album being great, they're probably the funniest guys we know. Dragoons are an alternative rock band from Melbourne. The band found a cohesion through jamming in mid 2016, and became and outfit from there on. The bands style is typified by repetitive and simple instrumentals with shrieking fuzz leads. They draw inspiration from Frank Zappa, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Pond and more.
'Early Work' is a collection of tracks written over a 6 month period, which explores various genres. The album was recorded live in a band members bedroom over one day. The band wanted to translate their live energy into the recordings, and it has surfaced. Long winding solos, washed out vocals and spontaneous jams run throughout the 9 tracks, giving listeners an array of different sounds. They are launching the EP at the Tote bandroom on the 4th of June
